I am sure you will have heard from your children by now about the fantastic festivities at school all week, and especially on Friday. The children in Year 6 were dressed up brilliantly and shared their learning with the other classes in the school. They sang the song He Honore – a traditional Maori song – to the other classes, taught them weaving and shared all that they had learnt about New Zealand’s culture during the week. On Wednesday, the children even had the opportunity to Skype with a class in New Zealand and ask their questions directly to children there.
A special mention must be made about the parent stalls on Friday morning. The children could have stayed all day! To those of you that helped set up stalls – many thanks. They were amazing! We have included a few photos below for you to enjoy.
