Year 4 Chinese Review

This week in Mandarin we have been focusing at the text 《《我的假期》, 《我多想》and《校车画廊》. We have went through part of the vocabulary in the text and did some exercise on character writing as well as the Pinyin. Children need to hand in their characters writing homework next Monday(6/3/2017). Furthermore, we have looking at two story books  which are 《欧莉安和她的影子》and 《青蛙镜子》during world book day. Besides that, we will also have two spelling next week which are Monday(6/3/2017)[Vocabulary sheet 1-11] and Friday(10/3/2017)[Vocabulary sheet 12-22].Children could practise their vocabulary through the link below for enhancing their learning.

CSL_Ms. Choo

This week we still continue learning the text我去学校 (I am going to school) from last week. We have learnt new vocabularies and sentence patterns, such as 这、的、家、有、爷、奶、爸、妈、和. During the lessons, we were focusing on reading long sentences and character writing practice. Apart from that, we had finished spelling and worksheet task – 我去学校 (I am going to school). On top of that, we had a story telling session, the books are ‘一只很饿的蛇’ and ‘阿米的魔帽子’.

This week in Chinese we have started the new topic 《今天是星期几?》(What Day is it Today?). Children learned to ask for/say days of the week in Mandarin, and they also learned the stroke order of the words for months and days of the week. In the oral activities, they were able to reference date and day in Mandarin. Children could practise their vocabulary and enhance their learning through the link below:

This week in Chinese we continue Lesson 7《你住在哪里》and we spent some time in practicing sentences writing. On World Book Day we read《我爸爸》, children love how funny and ridiculous is the father in this story and had a great discussion. Besides, we also have Carwyn read us the story《妹妹和我》on World Book Day, that is a great start and we will be having more storytelling session by children from now on. Children are encouraged to read page 44 and page 45 from textbook to enhance their knowledge.
