This week in Mandarin we have been focused at the text《聪明的张奶奶》and 《浅水洼的小鱼》. We done the discussion of the comprehension exercise for both text and children would need to complete their making sentences exercise using the learnt vocabulary in our current topic. Also, Please be reminded that children have spelling test of the vocabulary in 浅水洼的小鱼》next Monday 20/3/2017.

This week is our revision week, we started the revision of texts 为什么 (Why), 春雨 (Spring Rain) and 江河 (Rivers). Students can do their revision through the links : and On top of that, we also had a story telling session, the books are ‘小猪交朋友’ and ‘魔球’. Students were able to listen and repeat the stories. Apart from that, we have finished our revision worksheet task.



This week in Chinese we have continued learning about the topic《怎么走?》(How Can I Get There?). We learned to ask and answer questions in Chinese. They were able to ask and respond to the question “请问,去(location)怎么走?”(Excuse me, how do I get to (location)? They also learned to construct sentences to give direction in Mandarin. In one of the class activities, children learned to give directions, which includes cardinal directions and where to turn: “一直往东/南/西/北走,到___路左/右转,就到了”(Keep going E/S/W/N, at ____ road turn left/right, and you’ll have arrived.)



This week in Mandarin we have started Lesson 9《今天是星期几?》, children now able to tell date in Mandarin. Besides that children also shared their thought on how certain chinese characters was created. Children are encouraged to read page 60 & page 64 from textbook to enhance their knowledge.
