This week in Mandarin we have been writing a story about a boy who save the dog. We have complete the first three paragraph and children would need to complete the last paragraph as homework.

This week in Chinese class, children have been reading the text 红绿 (Traffic Lights). We have learnt new vocabularies, such as 红绿灯、街道、交通、繁忙、来人往、拉、停. During the lessons, we were focusing on reading texts without Hanyu Pinyin and speaking practice. Students also learnt how to modify problematic sentences. On top of that, students were able to use the words to make sentences.


This week in Chinese we have learned about passages and poem about the topic《怎么走?》(How Can I Get There?). Children learned to read and understand the passages and poem. In one of the class activities, children assessing the reading of their peers and graded the reading. On Friday, we were having an outdoor activity to ask and respond to the question “请问,去(location)怎么走?”(Excuse me, how do I get to (location)? in school.


This week in Mandarin we have continue Lesson 9《今天是星期几?》, children read two passages and answer the questions accordingly. We also play games on Friday to enhance our knowledge about classroom commands. Children are encouraged to read page 62 from textbook in order to have better understanding on Lesson 9.
