This week in Mandarin we have been continue with the text 《去书店》, 《和书一起飞》and《小书迷演戏》. We have completed our spelling and tried our best to applied all the learnt vocabulary into sentences through our classroom activities. Children would need to complete their fill in the blank exercise during the long weekend which need to hand in next Tuesday.

This week we still continue learning last text在中文学校 (At a Chinese School). Students have learnt new vocabularies and sentence patterns, such as 写、字、读、歌、画、喜欢. During the lessons, we were focusing on reading long sentences and character writing practice. Apart from that, we have finished our spelling sentences practiced and some worksheet task – 在中文学校 (At a Chinese School).
This week in Chinese we have started the new topic 《你想吃什么？》(What Do You Want To Eat?). Children learned to ask and respond about food preferences in Mandarin. They also learned to practice the new vocabulary in the collaboration dialogue creation activity. Children were able to express their hunger and can describe their food preferences with the correct pronunciation. In the oral activities, children were able to engage in the conversations with each other and adding their own preferences.
This week in Mandarin we spent two days worked on worksheet from Lesson 8《今天是几月几日？》(What date is it today?). A few of children find it hard to complete the conversation by themselve but get to finish it in the end with a little help from text book. This task is also helping them to revise on previous topic.
