The end of the year is fast approaching; this is a particularly busy time for your Year 6s. Today, your child has received their Language Selection form for Year 7. Please complete the selection with your child and return it to their class teacher no later than next Wednesday 10th of May.
Please also remember to send in camp medical and permission forms to the class teachers. Payment for camp must be made to the finance office.
From next week, Year 6 students will ‘share’ lunches with Year 7 students twice a week. This will give them a chance to get to know the older students a bit better before going on camp and then moving up into the high school.
In maths next week, we will give students a chance to practise the Year 6 SATs papers, to get a sense of what the tests are like before they take their own assessments the following week.
In English, we have begun reading a class novel – Beowulf – by Michael Morpurgo. The novel is set during the time of the Vikings and is a richly descriptive piece of story-telling.
In IPC, we have begun building circuits and are becoming more familiar with circuit notation and solving challenges with electricity. We will be moving on to more complicated circuits in the week to come.
