This week in Mandarin we have started a new topic with the text 《称象》, 《“聪明”的马》and《这匹马不是你的》. We have went through part of the vocabulary in the text and did some exercise on character writing as well as the Pinyin. Children need to hand in their characters writing homework by next Friday(26/5/2017). Besides that, we will also have two spelling next week which are Tuesday (23/5/2017)[Vocabulary sheet 1-13] and Friday(26/5/2017)[Vocabulary sheet 14-26].Children could practise their vocabulary through the link below for enhancing their learning.
This week we still continue learning last text教室里 (In the Classroom). Students have learnt new vocabularies and sentence patterns, such as 讲、小娃娃、都、乱丢、爱护、知道、已经、放心. During the lessons, we were focusing on reading long sentences and character writing practice. Apart from that, we have finished our words writing and some worksheet task – 教室里 (In the Classroom). On top of that, we had a storytelling session, the book is called ‘巴巴爸爸的学校’.
This week in Chinese we have continued the topic《她喜欢红色》(She Likes The Color Red). We learned to ask and answer questions in Mandarin. Children were able to participate actively in interactive oral activity and were able to speak clearly with the correct pronunciation. During the lessons, children also learned to rearrange the phrases to form sentences and explained the sentences in class.
This week in Mandarin we have been working on our worksheet. Most of the children is now able to use ‘noun + preposition’ correctly to describe the picture we have.
