This week in Mandarin we have continued to write our essay 《上菜市记》(A day in the wet market) and have completed until fourth paragraph. Children would need to complete their last paragraph at home as their home learning.

This week we still continue learning last text放学了 (Class is Over). Students have learnt new vocabularies and sentence patterns, such as 礼貌、用、记、请、谢谢、对不起、没、做、孩子. During the lessons, we were focusing on reading long sentences and character writing practice. We have finished our spelling – 教室里 (In the Classroom). Apart from that, we have also enjoyed a video clip called ‘哆啦A梦’.

This week in Chinese the children had continued learning the topic《书包里有什么?》((What is in the bag?). For oral activity, the children stood up to say the vocabulary in Mandarin that the teacher gave in English, and when they are correct they were able to sit back down. The children were also  given two worksheets that they need to try to complete by themselves. Although some of them need some guidance on the worksheet, but they tried really hard to complete it. The children are also encouraged to practice their characters writing at home as we are going to have spelling next Friday(16/6/17).

This week in Mandarin we have completed with the text 《称象》, 《“聪明”的马》and《这匹马不是你的》by finished discussing the rearrange sentences exercise. We have starting to write our essay 《上菜市记》(A day in the wet market) and has complete the first paragraph.

This week we still continue learning last text放学了 (Class is Over). Students have learnt new vocabularies and sentence patterns, such as 听、心、知道、想、什么、跟、拿、鸡、鸭. During the lessons, we were focusing on reading long sentences and character writing practice. Apart from that, we have finished some worksheet task – 放学了 (Class is Over). Students became more confident to make their sentences by themselves.

This week in Chinese the children had been learning a new topic《书包里有什么?》(What is in the bag?). We focused on reading and learning the new vocabulary such as 书包(bag),书(book),铅笔(pencil),橡皮(eraser),本子(notebook) and etc. For writing, the children listened to the vocabulary, then searched the vocabulary from the text and wrote in on the board. They also drew the picture of the vocabulary to show they understood what vocabulary are they were writing. They did well in the writing activity.

This week in Mandarin we have been continued with topic with the text 《称象》, 《“聪明”的马》and《这匹马不是你的》. We have done our comprehension exercise and have focused on learning the vocabulary through some competitive game. We also did some rearrange sentences exercise to enhance our vocabulary.

This week we still continue learning last text教室里 (In the Classroom). We have finished our spelling and worksheet task – 教室里 (In the Classroom). After the text教室里 (In the Classroom), we have learned our new text 放学了 (Class is Over). Students have learnt new vocabularies and sentence patterns, such as 放学、今天、星期、告诉、午、朋友、问、谁、心. During the lessons, we were focusing on reading long sentences and character writing practice. On top of that, we had a storytelling session, the book is called ‘巴巴爸爸的学校’.

This week in Chinese the children has been continued learning the topic《今天是星期几?》(What day is it today?). For reading, we had read all the text about this topic in the class. The children are encouraged to do revision at home for better learning. For writing, we practiced writing sentence pattern and the Chinese character of the new vocabulary. Some of them need to be remind to write in correct strokes order. Last but not least, the children are also encouraged to practice their characters writing at home as we are going to have spelling next Friday(2/5/17).

This week in Mandarin we have started a new topic with the text 《称象》, 《“聪明”的马》and《这匹马不是你的》. We have went through part of the vocabulary in the text and did some exercise on character writing as well as the Pinyin. Children need to hand in their characters writing homework by next Friday(26/5/2017). Besides that, we will also have two spelling next week which are Tuesday (23/5/2017)[Vocabulary sheet 1-13] and Friday(26/5/2017)[Vocabulary sheet 14-26].Children could practise their vocabulary through the link below for enhancing their learning.

During the lessons, we were focusing on reading long sentences and character writing practice. Apart from that, we have finished our words writing and some worksheet task – 教室里 (In the Classroom). On top of that, we had a storytelling session, the book is called ‘巴巴爸爸的学校’.

This week in Chinese the children have been learning a new  topic《今天是星期几?》(What day is it today?). We learnt the new vocabulary by saying the days of the week in Mandarin and 昨天(yesterday), 明天(tomorrow) as well. For the writing activity, the children had to listen to the teacher saying the vocabulary in English and write it in Chinese. Apart of that, they also had to make a sentence using the vocabulary.They tried really hard in both activities.

This week in Chinese the children continued learning the topic《今天是几月几日?》(What date is it today?). For reading, we completed the passage from the text and practiced the sentence pattern to build on their skill of making sentences. The children also practiced spelling by writing it on the whiteboard. Some of them need more practice to get ready for the spelling. Last but not least, we made a Mother’s day card for our beloved mommy. Happy Mother’s day to all mothers.
